In Sunstroke’s fifth volume, we zoom in on all-things storytelling. We’re thinking about concepts like “main character syndrome,” “movie moments” and soundtracking your life to songs.

Through artwork, photography and writing, we dig into these questions:

What risks do we take when we’re crafting them? How do we differentiate fiction from nonfiction? Is there an aesthetic difference between the two? How can you tell a story is “fake” or far from reality? If it is “fake,” does that mean that the story can’t be true? Why do stars and celebrities exist? Why are we attracted to tabloids and witnessing the failures of our idols? Why do we keep trying to inject ourselves into narratives?
